Corporate information

This enterprise was founded in 1966 by the couple Mrs. Francisca Bonet and Mr. Miguel Codolá with their first setting up, the "Pensión Paguera".

Nowadays Mrs. and Mr. Codolá still collaborate actively in the management of the company. Valentín Hotels keep their typical familiar atmosphere while the second generation has taken charge of the management and leads their process of increase.

Since 1996 VALENTÍN HOTELS has invested a lot on the improvement of the first setting ups and on the building and purchasing of the new ones. 5 new complexes have been bought, four of them outside Mallorca, its original central point. The compnay has taken over their progressive plan of quality.

During the last years, Valentín Hotels has experimented, a great deal of improvements and changes due to the dynamic of the tourist market, which demands a continuous adaptation to its requirements and the joining of a young and well prepared team, which brings itself a high motivation and bets for the future.

Environment

Since winter 1999 in the majority of our hotels we apply an enviroment policy. One of the most important aspects of it is the further education of personnel and instructions how to deal with the environment respectfully.

Each department has its person in charge for environment protection and there are constant control of e.g. water and energy consumption.

During the welcome drink arriving guests are informed about the environment policy and they can also visit the installations to see and control the functions.

The water consumption is controlled cyclical to detect possible loss of water and to analyse the water quality as well as the central-heating boiler and the noise in the hotel.

The hotels have a double installation that enables it to use soapwater again.

The plants in the gardens are local plants to minimise the irrigation.

We only change and wash the towels if the guests want use to and not systematically.

To reduce waste the hotels use bulk packs and by using local products the transport ways are kept short.
Waste is seperated in paper, glass, packages, organic material and residual waste.
