Carnival Gran Canaria 2012
Carnival in Las Palmas
Experience one of the oldest carnivals in Europe!
Over the last 30 years the carnival of Gran Canaria became the island´s biggest party and its principal magnet of tourism.
Although the event adapted to new challenges of spare time and entertainment it always conserved its original, popular character.
The official programme (from 03.02.12 to 20.02.12) contains, amongst other things, the Queen´s Gala, a costume contest, activities for children, e Drag Queen Gala and the big carnival parade.
Don´t miss this wonderful event and immerse in this fantastic world!

Music in Gran Canaria
28. Canary Islands Music Festival
The festival which was founded in 1985 celebrates its 28th edition in 2012.
In its origin, the main purpose of the Festival was to enrich the cultural programme
of a region with a long tradition in classical music.
This year artists like Zubin Mehta, Nott, Salonen, Murray Perahia, Paul Lewis, the King´s Consort and the Orquestra Mozarteum of Salzburg will participate in the festival.
Concerts are offered from January 10th to February 19th in Las Palmas.
